Jakarta Textile Museum to Learn Batik - Veriety of tourism in Indonesia - Musem occupies an old building located at Jalan KS No. Tubun or Petamburan. 4 Tanah Abang, West Jakarta. Gedungini was originally a private house belonging to a resident from the first time the French state was built in the 19th century. In the struggle for Indonesian independence, the building was used as a headquarters of the Security sequence the People (BKR) and then in 1947 settled by Sion Pin Lie. In 1952 was bought by the then Ministry of Social Affairs on October 25, 1975 the building was handed over to the Government of DKI Jakarta later in the day on June 28, 1976 was inaugurated by Mrs. Tien Soeharto usefulness as a Textile Museum.
